Hello!
I’m Clare.

I have a decade of experience working in theatre and film in Australia and the United States. I make new work from diverse voices, with a specific focus on developing comedy, drama and documentary from emerging makers.
I’ve worked in theatre, film and television development for Concord Originals.
I’ve been a development manager for some of Australia’s funniest people, a talent scout for the biggest comedy festival in the world and I’ve collaborated with Netflix Australia and the ABC.

Projects in Development include:
Gloss Aphrodite a play about three women who submerge into a world of rotten beauty at a boutique bathhouse.

Outback Opera a documentary where Wiradjuri Soprano Shauntai Batzke visits school children in remote Aboriginal communities around Australia. Together, they create their own Opera, using their stories, sounds and Language.

HA!
an episodic series about a young talent agent thrown into the quixotic world of the Australian comedy scene. Rival agents draw blood fighting for work and the comedians are barely holding on to reality.

Storm House a feature film about a large family living in a remote house in Western Australia.
The children, a mix of biological and adoptive, grow up with their Father, a deep sea diver, and their Mother, a meteorologist. Disruption and heartbreak runs through the house.

I Love You, Jason Statham a one hour live comedy show about action movie star Jason Statham’s beleaguered manager
Jasey Stacey.
